Case Study: Hickory HVAC Company

An HVAC company with a strong field reputation and a weak online presence. About a month after we rebuilt their Google presence, reviews had grown from roughly 60 to over 100 and the owner was asking us to slow the leads down.

The Business

A heating and cooling company serving Hickory, NC and the surrounding area. Established, well-regarded by its customers, busy through referrals and repeat work. The kind of business that deserves to be found.

The Starting Situation

The quality of the work wasn't reflected anywhere online. Google reviews had stalled around 60 and weren't growing. The Google Business Profile was incomplete: categories, services and business information didn't fully describe what the company actually does. Search visibility didn't match the company's real standing in the market, and new-customer calls depended almost entirely on word of mouth.

What We Did

Timeline and Results

The measurement window here is short and worth being honest about: these changes played out over roughly one month.

In the Owner's Words

"Our Google presence and rankings have improved tremendously, and most importantly, the phone started ringing. We actually got to the point where we were getting so many calls that I had to ask them to slow the leads down because we couldn't keep up with all of them."

What We Can and Can't Claim

Review counts come from the company's public Google profile. Call volume is as reported by the owner; we did not run call tracking during this period, so we report his experience rather than a measured call count. Seasonality plays a role in any HVAC business's phone traffic. What we can say directly: the review growth and profile improvements happened during the period we did the work, and the owner attributes the increase in calls to it.

Services Used

Google Business Profile management, local SEO and marketing strategy, all part of the standard $99/month plan.
